Pashto Music on Al-Baal

A small tribute to my pashto/pathan half, I have uploaded two songs on my stickam. The melancholy Laila Laila by Ehsan, and an instrumental Afghan Pashto National Dance song. Enjoy!

And to any pashto speaking readers out there, Gad sha!

Batkhela is one of the best sites on the web for listening and downloading pashto music from both Pakistan and Afghanistan.

Bee amma welcome! Yes that is the song by the queen of pashto music, Zarsanga!!!

Moryarti ya hala! Islamabad? next month? do I wanna be in your shoes, yes!

To be honest, Islamabad is not my turf, I have been there but very brief stays. They had afab restaurant, italian one called pappasallis. But who wants italian when you can have desi food ey?

Our fellow blogger Boo is from islamabad. Boo if you're listening, we need some good suggestions ok?

Islamabad is more organized, less populated and cleaner than the rest of pak. (this however does not mean there aren't people everywhere!)

Moryarti! Oh I nearly forgot, Faisal Mosque! Worth seeing. If you have a chance take a day trip to Murree.

Beautiful beautiful. Then there is Damane koh and Shakar Parian ( hill top parks with amazing views, and apparetly go in the night.)

To be honest, Islamabad is not the most entertaining. Lahore is my favourite, more historical and fun.

(thanks to my friend for all the info lol)

i lived in islamabad for 6 years!!!! sorry random outburst, just loved my time there! whereabouts u from if you dont mind me asking?

Shaykhspeara Sha'ira said...

lol that's ok, all outbursts are welcome.

I have never lived in islamabad, only visited briefly. Perhaps to live there is better than to live in the chaos of the rest of the cities in Pakistan but still I liked Lahore more because of its vibrance and history.

My mother is swedish and my father is from peshawar. I lived in peshawar for two years. Peshawar is a wonderful city in terms of history and culture but can also be extremely boring. Still everything is much cheaper there. If you buy material for an outfit it will be half of what you pay for the same thing in Lahore.

I havent been to Peshawar in ages though, last time I was there was in 95. I think a lot has changed.
