...

There is nothing to take me further,
away from the torment that lives,
inside of the heart of the other,
that takes while nothing it gives.
Your black smoke it covers my horizon,
but it doesn't cloud my eyes that see,
there's more than braveness to a lion,
and you'll know there's more to me.
Have I once ever told you about it?
What draws me further away?
I will bare my soul and I will admit,
when I find the courage to say.
There is nothing to take me further,
from the stones that are cast my way.
There is nothing to bring me closer,
to the words that I cannot say.

beautifully written. very deep. i love the contradictions...the willingness to do something and yet stopping urself from venturing into the depth. it's cryptic in some parts but thats it's beauty. precise. wanting to reveal. yet, concealing it at the same time. good one shaira!

Do you have a book?

Hi Elizabeth. Do you mean if I have a book of poetry? No, afraid not. Perhaps someday if I'm lucky! Thanks for stopping by :)
