There are many more Markets in Sharjah worth mentioning, like the Iranian Market or the Pet Market, but that will have to be for next time! On any trip to the UAE I recommend a visit to these markets to get a feel of what everyday life is/was like in pre-Shopping Mall crazy United Arab Emirates.

Nothing like shopping at a market I tell you; bargaining, arguing & blah blah blah. Somehow I don't feel that comfortable in a shopping mall, it's too, how can I say it 'cosmetic'!
Dear Louise :) How are you my friend? Good to see you here. I couldn't agree more. I am a market person anyday. You connect with the product and people selling it in a more personal and direct way as opposed to some anonymous being behind a counter of sterile and if I may borrow your expression, cosmetic, goods.
Here's to the markets and people keeping them alive!
I love these pictures, the plant market, and the The Vegetable Market are awesome. I wish we had lovely vegetable markets like that were I live.
