This is a picture taken of the stage of the groom's Mehndi Day (a stage I helped decorate). The bride and groom sit on the stage while family members come up to them and paste henna on their hands, oil on their hair and turmuric on their cheeks. Really well set stage, the ceremonies of a traditional wedding, no matter what part of the world they are at are quite interesting and mehndi is one ceremony enjoyed by everyone in an indian/ pakistani wedding.
lol..uff.. all those free ke ceremonies .. i think they are wastage of time and money
here in SA, the traditional Indian wedding is no more - well except for one or 2 things here and der.
the stage for example, is wayyyyy different. and the mehndi day is generally reserved for the brides side.

D rebel, thanks. My friend is the main orchestrator behind the stage. Yeah me too, I prefer mehndi most of all. For me one mehndi is enough for a wedding celebration.
Creation, well tradition and ceremony mean something, and I am for it in general. But, the way it is done these days, the amount of money spent, is just not right when the world is in the state it is.
