Jewish Settler Extremism

"A 19-year old Swedish human rights worker had her cheekbone broken by a Jewish extremist in Hebron today. Earlier the same day at least five Palestinians, including a 3-year-old child, were injured by the settler-supporting extremists, who rampaged through Tel Rumeida hurling stones and bottles at local residents. Palestinian schoolchildren on their way home were also attacked. The Israeli army, which was intensively deployed in the area, did not intervene to stop the attacks."
-International Solidarity Movement
-Article in the Jerusalem Post.

There is no mention of this terrible act of terrorism by Israeli extremists with the silent approval of the Israeli army, anywhere in Swedish media. If they can smash the face of a blonde Swedish teenage girl with a country like Sweden that supposedly will "back her up", one wonders what they would do to a Palestinian with none of the above?

I am sure this is not the first time such a thing happened in the Occupied Territories.

DG I know, it is most definitely not the first or last time. But why did Swedish media report nothing of the incident. One wonders what else one has not heard of...

It is really pathetic to see that incidens like these are not highlighted rather nicely brushed under the rug usually for "diplomatic" reasons. Casualties of war are not just soldiers who sign up for it, but also innocent bystanders, social workers, the old and the young, every war bring brings misery and yet all around us what do see wars not peace.

Very true...it's truly sad what goes on in the Occupied territories..and noone ever hears about it..

Remember the story of Rachel..the American who got run over by an Israeli tank...now she's AMERICAN people! and yet..the media and American government managed to suppress it the best they could..
and yet they talk about saving Americans against "Muslim extremists"...puuhleeez... these so-called democratic governments need to open their eyes and wake up to what Israel is doing right under their noses..

Nice job..Keep it up...Get the word out there!

the question I have is...

Why do I need to read your blog site to find these stories? What is wrong with the "liberal media" that it can't report news - and throw around the "terrorist" label on anyone who isn't Arab or Muslim?

When the world has a truly free media and unbiased reporting (instead of hiding behind "too graphic to show here") the world will be better off. An informed public is a smart public.

Maybe that's what blogs are for.

H.O.P.E Good to have you here! Meet alf ahla wo sahla!

Few hear about it but all of you will. i have just gotten my hands on both pictures and a diary of a perso who recently went to betlehem and I intend to blog about it all.

It is very sad about Rachel Corrie...and shows that really, anyone who stands in the way of the "cause" in Israel is worth nothing.

Wil Robinson Like I said earlier, we are the liberal media. Bloggers, everyday human beings with a conscience who refuse to be silent about injustice no matter who is the wrongdoer.

Media is the biggest tool for influence. And those who control it control public opinion and projection of reality.
