A group of young muslims in Melbourne figured they wanted to give the people of Melbourne a window into being Muslim and started the tv chat show Salam Café. They are currently on season 3 and have had guests like Australian author and human rights activist Randa Abdel-Fattah and American comedian Azhar Usman and report with humor on life in Australia and highlight important events in Australia be it multicultural or interfaith based.

Should be a great chat show, Its always good to spread awareness and have dialogue unless we do that we will be strangers among ourselves.
Excellent! Must try to catch it while we're there!
D Reb and NZM, it's really great fun, smart, informative and fresh! I'm concidering the idea for Sweden....hmmmm... :) lol I have my own Al Baal café already, maybe go for tv? ya'll wanna join? lol
Delightful, I could hardly make myself leave.
Isn't it great? By total accident I stumbled across them on Youtube. Imagine how much else there is out there we don't know about yet :)
@ Shaira, its a great Idea to take AlBaal Cafe to TV. It should be a very informative and entertaining show thats for sure. its a great idea, work on it.
Thank you jee D Reb, who knows. I have a long list of things I wanna do, so I guess this one goes on that!
Persons from a 'religious' state have experienced much oppression resulting in dull cultures living in fear. 9/11 only encouraged more fear. there is much to say about the use of fear by leaders of any community for means of absolute control, a sin in itself although commonly denied by many authoritarians.
