Muslim conference in Sweden

Every year, Young Muslims of Sweden (SUM), organizes a youth conference for Muslims in Scandinavia. This year the conference will be joined by among others Shabbir Ally, who hosts an interfaith program on Canadian Television. The theme of this year's conference in Stockholm between the 14th-17th of April will be: "Islam- A conscious way of life".

Will you be there Shaikha?

No unfortunately I will be travelling then so I miss it.

Usually we get between 700-1000 visitors a day so it's rather "big" for Scandinavia. Probably the biggest Muslim youth event there.

How long have you been having these conferences there?

Zee if I am not entirely mistaken, the conferences have been going on for 13 or 14 years this year I believe.

Yeah I have heard of the Deen Intensives Zeytouna usually organize. Shaykh Hamza is the best. I met him last year in London.

ISNA seems like quite a huge event, might go someday. Especially if Azhar Usman performs!

oh ISNA is a big hype. Its soo sad it use to be awesome, now its just an excuse for people to socialize and find their 'partners' in life. Its soo sad.

I have these women hunting me down trying to get me to see their sons,or they are harassing my mother or my sister just to get closer to me.

haha i personally havent gone in a few years, since i try to go back to the uae before it starts so i wont be pressured into going. My cousins (who are married) have this joke about me going, because i;ll be bombarded with resumes of potential 'husbands'. hahaha its become such a joke these days, its really sad i use to love attending the conferences growing up there.

Sheikh Hamzah is awesome, if you are ever in the states, try to get in contact with Dr.Umar (he teaches at UIC) he is awesome too! :)
and the deen intensive is a must!
